The first step toward getting that amazing smile you’ve always dreamed of starts with your free smile exam at our Boca Raton orthodontic office. Before the appointment, we offer a complimentary benefits check assuming you have insurance, so that you’ll know exactly how much your insurance will contribute.
What Happens at The Free Smile Exam?
When you come into our Boca Raton office, you’ll be greeted by Daniella who will make sure you are comfortable and have all your pre-appointment questions answered.
We will then take some photos and records of your teeth so that Boca Raton orthodontist, Dr. G can make an accurate diagnosis and can develop a treatment plan which will direct us toward the next step.
You will then take a 5-minute intra-oral scan with our Itero scanning unit so that you can see with 100% accuracy what your bite and your teeth look like.
Once all of those records are done, you’ll get to meet Dr G. who will probably make you laugh and then will proceed to go over your treatment. He will show you with your photos, x-ray, and scan what possible issues there are and whether or not treatment is necessary.
What Happens Next?
You’ll have all the time you need to speak with Dr. G and make sure that all your questions are answered. Once you have had all your questions answered, Daniella will come back and go through the financing options. If everything sounds alright to you, we would move onto the next step of placing the braces or sending out the scan to Invisalign. More often than not, we are able to put on the braces that same day to save you from having to take off from work or school again.
What Is A Diagnostic Record?
There are several types of diagnostic records. They include:
- Impressions or study models of your jaw and teeth
- Cephalogram and panoramic radiographs
- Photos of your face and teeth
How Much Will My Treatment Cost?
The amount your treatment will cost will depend on how severe your problem is, how long your treatment will take and the kind of treatment which has been recommended for you. We have a Treatment Coordinator who will discuss the payment options and fees with you. There are several payment plans available to you which will suit different budgets as we always strive to make your orthodontic treatment as affordable as possible.
Insurance – Some Additional Information
Our Boca Raton practice will accept all of the major PPO insurance plans to reduce your out-of-pocket expenses substantially. If there is any change in your insurance policy before the insurance benefits are fully paid you must immediately contact us to make the necessary adjustments to your treatment contract.
This whole appointment usually take about 45 minutes and then you are on your way! We can’t wait to meet you!
